I downloaded this ISO from Microsoft's website, so it is up to date. My focus for now is the Windows 10 Installer. This happens in both Legacy and UEFI and I'm sure it's not ISO fault because I use those ISOs for a while now, I used them with a Legacy setup using YUMI before switching to Ventoy, so they are not corrupt, and they also boot just fine on a virtual machine as well. However, those are the only ones that don't boot at all, while all the others, including Hirens Boot CD PE, boots just fine. I use those ISOs on my work whenever I need to do maintenance on machines and the rare occasions I have to reinstall the operating system, so it's why I have both Windows 7 and 10 Installers. I recently formatted a 32 GB Sandisk Ultra Dual Drive with Ventoy and placed the following ISOs in there: Please refer to BuildVentoyFromSource.txt Document Title No need to update Ventoy when a new distro is released.Data nondestructive during version upgrade.ISO files can be listed in List mode/TreeView mode. Not only boot but also complete installation process. Most type of OS supported, 200+ iso files tested.Native boot menu style for Legacy & UEFI.WIM files boot supported (Legacy + UEFI) (1.0.12+).UEFI Secure Boot supported (since 1.0.07+).

Legacy + UEFI supported in the same way.Directly boot from iso file, no extraction needed.Fast (limited only by the speed of copying iso file).200+ ISO files are tested.Ī "Ventoy Compatible" concept is introduced by ventoy, which can help to support any ISO file. You can copy many iso files at a time and ventoy will give you a boot menu to select them.īoth Legacy BIOS and UEFI are supported in the same way. With ventoy, you don't need to format the disk over and over, you just need to copy the iso file to the USB drive and boot it. Ventoy is an open source tool to create bootable USB drive for ISO files.
